The Trump Market’s Still Up (a Little)
$100 invested in stocks when President Trump took office would have been worth $110 when the market closed out 2018.
Check out The Washington Post's interactive graphics to see the results of a $100 investment over various time periods.
Great job by WaPo, especially in going back to Jan 1 2000. Excellent perspective.
To properly account for Trump, I would go to the date he won the election, so it's a bit more than a 10% gain. But that's a quibble, and I see the logic of using Jan 1 dates for each graph.
