Who wants retirement education?

The 8th annual Transamerica Retirement Survey has found that a suprising number of employees are concerned about their retirement readiness reports Plan Sponsor magazine (registration required). 77% of the surveyed employers reported that their employees wouldn't think about retirement issues until they are close to retirement age; 73% of employees disagreed with that sentiment. 57% of employees wanted more information and advice for reaching retirement goals, and 68% felt that they need to learn more about retirement investing.

Are employees interested in the Roth 401(k)? 44% said yes, they would rather pay taxes now than during retirement. Unfortunately, only 11% of employers were offering the Roth 401(k) at the time the survey was taken.
