An unrelated endorsement
Moving off topic for just a moment, I finally saw United 93 last night with Number Three Son. If you haven't seen it yet, I urge you to do so. The film is outstanding, the subject remains vitally important.

As we ancient ones remember from WWII, in wartime one needs heroic films. Glad United 93 turned out well.

Anthony Lane is a bit too rough on the book, though. Dan Brown's reference to "a half-eaten power lunch" has real resonance.
