IRS is studying what to do about 2010

Issues for IRS include how to report and monitor basis step-ups for property inherited in 2010, according to a Tax Notes report of a recent AICPA conference.  Said one presenter, the fact that the IRS is giving this such attention now means Treasury no longer expects retroactive estate tax reform this year.
