Notes for trust officers, private bankers and others concerned with estate and trust planning, from a Merrill Anderson Senior Editor and his retired mentor.
The Times didn't just publish the DeSantis letter; in the print edition,it flaunted it. Illustration and text took up the whole top half of the Op-Ed page and more.
I'd have to know more about DeSantis' big-money years of trading commodities and equities for AIG before feeling 100% sorry for him. But he surely deserves more sympathy than the attorneys general of New York and Connecticut. I envy the residents of those states: they will have the privilege of voting the mindless grandstanders out of office.
Incidentally, when I looked just now, the DeSantis column ranked as the Times' most emailed article.
