How bad is this recession?

Cool, indeed. Interactive graphics are finally coming of age.
Politically, however, the depiction of the Great Recession won't please conservatives. Maybe this wasn't just another downturn that would have corrected itself without federal spending.
Although I agree that this wasn't "just another downturn," I'm not sure that the federal spending we got was the proper corrective.
You can't borrow yourself rich, just as you can't tax yourself rich.
